£45,603 Raised for New Futures Nepal:
Having recently returned from Nepal our MD, Adrian Burge, has reported back on
the highs and lows of his fundraising trek.

"I can report that after a rather exhausting 7 day trek in the Everest region where altitude, terrain and lack of general fitness all took its toll the Trek party will have raised approximately £45k for New Futures Nepal which is fantastic.
Our 20 person party toiled through blazing sunshine, sub zero temperatures and a blizzard during our 7 day Himalayan experience, but through it all great
comradeship kept us all smiling.
Altitude and the lack of oxygen after 3200m was a big surprise to me which made the simplest of tasks more demanding yet alone climbing a mountain.
We topped out our climb at approx 4000 meters with views of Everest and the
surrounding mountains which was absolutely breathtaking, an experience I shall
treasure forever.

We all spent a day at the Hope Centre, our orphanage in Kathmandu on our return from Trek which for me was again the highlight of the trip,
and the children and adults had a special day playing and socializing. According to our orphanage manager, Tilak, the children had been excited about it for weeks.
Generally all the children are in good health and doing well.
May I take this opportunity to thank anyone who donated to the cause and all my trekking colleagues for their efforts.
Anybody wishing to make a donation to New Futures Nepal can do either via OPS or on the website at www.newfuturesnepal.org "
